The best HYROX athletes in the world converge on Stockholm in 15 days. The PUMA HYROX World Championships 2026 run June 18–21 at the Strawberry Arena in Solna, just north of Stockholm. Here's everything you need to know — whether you're racing, watching, or planning your 2027 qualification attempt.
Key Info
- Dates: June 18–21, 2026, Strawberry Arena, Solna (Stockholm)
- 6,000 age-group athletes + worldwide elite pro field
- Qualification: top 0.5% of HYROX athletes globally
- Format: 8km running + 8 functional workout stations
- Race tickets: 219€ (singles), 199€/person (doubles)
The format: what competitors face
The World Championships format is identical to every other HYROX race: 8km of running split across 8 functional workout stations. What changes is the competitive level — and the pressure of the event.
The 8 stations: SkiErg (1,000m), Sled Push (50m), Sled Pull (50m), Burpee Broad Jump (80m), Rowing (1,000m), Farmers Carry (200m), Sandbag Lunges (100m), Wall Balls (100 reps). Each station is preceded and followed by 1km of running. The order is fixed — there's no "choose your stations" strategy here.
Qualification: how it works
Only the top 0.5% of HYROX athletes worldwide qualify and receive an invitation to compete. Across the 115 races in the 2025-2026 season spanning five continents, the top finishers in each age group and division earn their place in Stockholm.
Divisions: Individual Open (mixed), Individual Pro (competitive), Individual Elite, Doubles (same-sex and mixed). Age categories run from 16-24 through 70+. The Worldwide qualifier also allows athletes to qualify through cumulative performance rankings.
The venue: Strawberry Arena
Strawberry Arena (formerly Friends Arena) is one of Scandinavia's premier indoor venues. With 65,000 capacity in concert configuration, it regularly hosts major sporting events and concerts. For HYROX, the setup allows all 6,000 competitors to race while spectators can see the full station layout from the stands.
The Fan Village runs all weekend with live programming, partner activations, and food. Race tickets include full venue access for the entire World Championships weekend.
